Tommy Albert Johnson, age 87 of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, was born October 17, 1927, in Ewing, Nebraska, and passed away July 27, 2015 in Pollard, Arkansas. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Wanda Lee Johnson on December 6, 1947 at Lake City, Arkansas. Together in their union they had six children. He worked as a milk man, cattle and crop farmer, and retired from the Mammoth Spring School District after driving a school bus for 23 years. After the death of his first wife, he married Virginia Craft, on April 30, 2005, who resides in Hardy, AR. He is survived by one sister Deloris Wilkins, 4 sons, Thomas David Johnson and his wife Kay of Pollard, AR, Albert Daniel Johnson and wife Sandy, of Mammoth Spring, AR, John Douglas Johnson and wife Eloise of Mammoth Spring, AR, and Leroy Donald Johnson and wife Lorraine of Mammoth Spring, AR., and 2 daughters, Wanda Diane Barker, of Salem, AR, and Anita Debra Wells and husband Frank of Hot Springs Village, AR, 13 grandchildren, Shelly Justus, Ray Barker, Tommy Wayne Johnson, Melinda Hobbs, Rebecca Klutts, Janet Smoot, Robin VanGinhoven, Jack Wells, Andrea Coulter, Beverly Goans, Jennifer Crowe, Bradley Johnson, and Kimberly Johnson, and 23 great-grandchildren, 4 great, great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by the love of his life Wanda Lee Johnson, his parents Charles Daniel Johnson and Cora May (McCafferty) Johnson, 6 brothers, Roy, Jack, Charles, Don, and Robert and Dwayne, 2 sisters, Kay and Ellen, and an infant sister Dainty. Services will be Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 1:00pm in the Clary Chapel with Erman Croney officiating. Pallbearers will be Ray Barker, Tommy Wayne Johnson, Jack Wells, Brad Johnson, Devon Smoot, and Richie VanGinhoven. Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Hobbs, Chuck Crowe, Eddie Goans, Chandler Allison, Dylan Johnson, Steve Justus, and Ben Coulter. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Thayer, Missouri. Visitation will be Wednesday, 6:00-8:00pm in the Chapel. |
