Ray Dethrow, son of the late Ray Dethrow, Sr. and Vida Caldwell Dethrow was born June 28, 1930 in Jobe, MO and died on July 4, 2015 at Ozarks Medical Center at the age of 85.

He was first married to Mary Lee Roy, whereas four children were born. He was later married to Janet Crossland, whereas one child was born.

He is survived by Mary Lee and their children, Mike Dethrow and wife Barbara of Alton, Brenda Ledgerwood and husband Keith of Alton, Jane Ward and husband Johnny of Koshkonong, and Sheila Campbell and husband Ron of Alton.

He is also survived by wife, Janet Crossland of Koshkonong and daughter, Stacey Potter and husband Charles of Alton.

His sister, Jean Weeks and twin brother Dale Dethrow, both of Tecumseh also survive.

In addition he is survived by 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Vida Dethrow, one brother Myles Dethrow, and one sister Maxine Dethrow.

Ray graduated from Couch High School. He was the foreman of Pigman Ranch and owner of Alton Sales Company for many years. He was a buyer of cattle and hogs and thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors.

No services are planned. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ida L. Andrews Endowed scholarship fund at Couch Schools or to the Cotton Creek Cemetery.
