Verlena Elizabeth Langford, age 79 of Mammoth Spring, AR, was born February 28, 1936, in Conway, AR, and passed away May 25, 2015, at Shady Oaks Health Care in Thayer, MO.

Survivors include: James Langford, of the home; 2 daughters, Senthia Edgerton of Oyster Creek, TX, and Frances McGarity of Church Hill, TX; 1 son, David McGarity of Brazoria, TX; 2 step-daughters, Rhonda Payne of Demascus, AR, and Linda Burchett of Mammoth Spring, AR; a step-son, Roger Langford; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Pat Brown of White Hall, AR; and numerous other friends and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and LZ (Henry) Thomas; 1 brother, Gerald Thomas.

Verlena was cremated with a memorial service to be planned for a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Thayer, MO.
