Bette Ruth Ross, age 85 of Alton, MO was born September 26, 1929 in Grayridge, MO and passed away December 9, 2014. Survivors include; a daughter, Deborah Kay Sallings, one son, Jerry Michael Ross, three grandchildren, Sara Gail Sallings, Ann Elizabeth Whitten and husband Chris, Thomas Henry Sallings, one great-grandson, Joel Thomas Whitten, two sisters, Catherine Knight McDaniel and Mary Lou Moncado, and numerous other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, Jack Knight and Letha Ann Griffin-Knight, her husband, Jerry Max Ross, one brother, Carl Knight, two sisters, Vern Mae Knight-Thomas and Lucille Knight, and four infant siblings. Graveside services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, December 11, 2014 at the Smith Cemetery, Alton, MO with Bro. Denzil Thomas officiating. Pallbearers will be Chris Whitten, Thomas Sallings, Steve Ross, Mike Gwaltney, Wayne Wright and Bob Wright. Services under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alton Public Library. |
