Velma Lee (Pendarvis) Hatfield, age 96 of Mammoth Spring, AR, was born May 14, 1918, in Mammoth Spring, AR, and passed away December 8, 2014, in Bridgeton, MO.

Survivors include: her daughter, Janice Bachmann of Bridgeton, MO; her step-son, Jimmy Hatfield of Carthage, MO; multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister, Ola Mae Curtis of Mammoth Spring, AR, and Bernice Robinson of Eugene, OR; and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, John Carl “Jim” Hatfield; her parents, William Allen and Bessie Gladis (Collins) Pendarvis; her sister, Willie Kate Pendarvis; and her brother, Joddie Ray Pendarvis.

Funeral Services will be 2pm Friday, December 12, 2014, at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO, with Bro. Sam Simmons officiating, and burial following in the Field Creek Cemetery in Mammoth Spring, AR. Visitation will be 1pm-2pm prior to the funeral. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Thayer, MO.
