Jack B. Rodgers, age 87 of Alton, MO was born December 12, 1926 in Dallas, TX and passed away October 16, 2014 at the Baxter County Regional Medical Center, Mtn. Home, AR. Survivors include; three daughters, Karen Hollis and husband Scotty of Alton, MO, Cathy Crane and husband Jerry of Alvin, TX, Sherry Brott and husband Bill of Grapevine, TX, one son, George Rodgers of Horseshoe Bend, AR, 10 grandchildren, Sheldon, Michael, Zachary, Jeremiah, Mendy, Rachel, Ashleigh, Hudson, Tyler and Trinity, six great-grandchildren, William, Austin, Jackson, Parker, Reed and Cinch, numerous other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, John Dewey Rodgers and Jewel McLemore Rodgers, his wife, Patricia Ann Low Rodgers, one brother, Billy Earl Rodgers and one infant brother, John Edwin Rodgers. Jack was of the Baptist faith. He was a standout football player at Grand Saline, TX High School, was a veteran of World War II, serving four years in Japan and graduated with a degree in Physical Education and History from East Texas State University. He worked as a comptroller in the oil fields of Texas for many years. |
