Lela Mae Dace was born December 25, 1928 at Thomasville, MO, the daughter of Guy and Mable (Clark) Floyd. She passed away on September 17, 2014 at Shepherds View, Alton, MO.

Lela married Arthur Vernon Dace on April 19, 1948. She was a beautician for many years and then became owner of an antique shop.

Lela was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, Betty Lou Roberts, one grandson, Art Furby, and son-in-law, William Martin. She is survived by three daughters, Marilyn Martin of Pomona, MO, Madeline Wagganer and husband, Charles, of Fredericktown, MO, and Barb Irvin and husband, John, of Republic, MO. There are five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Clary Funeral Home of Alton, MO.
