William Franklin “Frank” Tillman, age 80 of Thayer, MO, was born December 2, 1933, at Alton, MO, and passed away July 12, 2014, at the West Vue Nursing Center in West Plains, MO. He was united in marriage to Patsy Earlene Knowlton on January 20, 1956, who survives. Other survivors include: three children, Kathrine “Elaine” Tillman Combs and husband Jim of Caulfield, MO, Terry Wayne Tillman and wife Teresa of Thayer, MO, Shelia Ann Tillman Hickcox and husband Todd of Houston, MO; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Glenna Buckner and Shirley Wheeler; and numerous other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death are: his parents, Willie Irvin Tillman and Ivy Tune Tillman; a son, Franklin Tillman, Jr.; four brothers; and a sister. Frank was a veteran of the United States Army, helping rebuild Germany during the Korean Conflict. After being discharged from the Army, he served with the Missouri National Guard for 16 years. Services will be 11am Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO, with Bro. Anthony Woods officiating, and burial following in the Bailey Cemetery in Alton, MO. Visitation will be Monday, 6pm-8pm at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO. |
