Richard Dean Campbell, age 69 of Thayer, MO, was born May 2, 1945, in Randolph County, AR, and departed this life June 3, 2014, in Thayer, MO. On August 5, 1972, He was united in marriage to Sharon Mills in Thayer, MO. Survivors include: his wife, Sharon (Mills) Campbell, of the home; his daughter, Annessa Bratten and husband Nathan of Jonesboro, AR; his son, Brian Campbell of Thayer, MO; 2 grandchildren, Serena and Nicholas Bratten; his sister, Phyllis Stayton and husband Pete of Kimberling City, MO; 2 sisters-in-law, Janis Campbell of Myrtle, MO, and Ruth Farrow and husband Paul of West Plains, MO; mother-in-law Nell Mills; 1 nephew, Scott Campbell of Myrtle, MO; 1 niece, Keoka Ketcher and husband Jason of Kimberling City, MO; 2 great-nieces, Makyna and Scarlett; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Woodrow Hanford and Ina Evelyn (Scott) Campbell; his brother, Howard Campbell; an infant sister, Sharon Kay Campbell; his father-in-law, Roscoe Mills. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church, and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His quiet and gentle spirit will be missed by all who loved him. Funeral services will be 2pm Friday, June 6, 2014, at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO, with Bro. Jeff Smith officiating, and burial following in the Thayer Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Thayer, MO. |
