Marie Wood, age 100, of Alton, MO was born August 10, 1913 in Webster County, MS and passed away April 2, 2014 at West Vue Nursing Center, West Plains, MO. Survivors include; four children, Mae Clayton of Houston, TX, Mildred Bailey of Columbus, MS, Arlyn Wood of Kempner, TX, Barbara Hayes of Alton, MO, one sister, Myrtle Wood of Memphis, TN, 21 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Tilton Harrison and Mary Ellen Vaughn Harrison, her husband, Jessie Millard Wood, SR, one daughter, Betty Jean Rouseax, two sons, Jessie C. McKee and Jessie M. Wood, JR, and two brothers. Funeral service will be 9:00pm Thursday, April 3, 2014 at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO with Bro. Charles Holloway officiating. Graveside service will be 4:00pm Friday, April 4, 2014 at the Edgeworth Cemetery, Eupora, MS. |
