Faye Lavern Cowens, age 84 of Thomasville, MO was born February 5, 1928 in Thayer, MO and passed away December 11, 2012 at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, MO.

Survivors include; two sons, Ronnie Gene Cowens of Thomasville, MO, Ricky Joe Cowens and wife Clara of Colorado, one grandson, Mark Cowens, one granddaughter, Amanda Cowens, 1 great-grandson, Blake, three great-granddaughters, Kallie, Lucia and Isabella, two step-grandchildren, Clay and Neicole, three step-great-grandchildren, Garrett, Dalton and L.J., and numerous other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Charles Wesley Switzer and Ollie Elizabeth Campbell-Switzer, her husband, Gene Cowens and five brothers.

Services will be 2:00pm Saturday, December 15, 2012 at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO with Bro. Charles Trantham officiating, burial in the Joliff Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, 5:00-7:00pm at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Mark Cowens, Gary Alexander, Kelly Dotson, Zach Dotson, Ely Dotson and Glen Trantham.
