Allen Crabtree, 81, of Alton, MO, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at 2:20 a.m. at Ozark Medical Center in West Plains, MO. Allen was born May 1, 1930 in Winona Mo, son of Jim Crabtree and Sarah “Ann” Hoskins. He was united in marriage to Marlene Fry and had 3 sons, Eugene, Keith and Dennis. July 3, 1983, Allen was united in marriage to Betty Wheeler of Alton, MO who survives him. Allen was Baptized at Victory Church in Alton, MO and was a member of The United Baptist Church in Alton MO. Allen’s passion was working in the log woods and hauling loads of logs. He also enjoyed raising cattle and gardening. Allen was such and warm and loving person that he always had time for a much welcomed visit from family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Betty Crabtree; two sons Keith Crabtree and Dennis (Tammy) Crabtree; Sister. Dorthy (George) Knuckles; Sister Beulah (Bobbie) Pingleton; Brother, Ellis “Jim” (June) Crabtree. Grandchildren: Matt (Candy), Nick, Adam Lance, Lewis, one step grandson Mike, and three step-great grandchildren Proceeded in death by: Mother (Sarah “Ann” Walker; Father Jim Crabtree; Wife, Marlene (Fry) Crabtree, Son, Eugene Crabtree; Sister, Blanch Tipton; Daughter-in-law, Jody Crabtree (Keith); and Grandson, Adam Crabtree (Keith). There will be an open visitation at Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO, all day Thursday, April 5 2012 and funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 6, 2012 with burial at Eminence Cemetery Allen was deeply loved and will be missed by all. |
