Archie Hastings Rose, age 85 of Mammoth Spring, AR, was born March 12, 1926, in Wirth, AR, and passed away February 15, 2012, at the Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, MO. Survivors include: 4 sons, Robert Rose and wife Virginia of Wirth, AR, Jerry Rose and wife Nancy of Henderson, AR, Archie Keith Rose and wife Judy of Wirth, AR, and Dennis Rose and wife Debbie of Mammoth Spring, AR; 7 grandchildren, Justin Rose and wife Rachel, Kimberly Williamson and husband Michael, Laura Rose, Kelly Morris and husband John, Aimee Rose, Forrest Rose and wife Kayla, and Whitney Rose; 4 great-grandchildren, Riley Williamson, Emma Morris, Adelynn Morris, and Clara Grace Rose; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Iva (Young) Rose; his parents, Walter Bernard and Ressie Bell (Whitney) Rose; and his 6 siblings, Walter, Mary, Rachel, Ralph, Addie, and Violet. Archie was a woodworker, a longtime member of the Church of Christ, as well as a loving husband to his wife, Iva. Services will be 2pm Sunday, February 19, 2012, at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO, with Bro. Lee Moses officiating, and burial following in the Wirth Cemetery. Family night will be 6pm-8pm Saturday, February 18, 2012, at the Clary Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Thayer, MO.
