Bob Simpson, age 81, son of Roy and Nettie (Johnson) Simpson was born October 4, 1930 in Alton, MO. He passed away December 7, 2011 at his home in Houston, MO.

He is survived by his wife Betty of the home in Houston, his daughter Terri Diedrich and husband Dale of Licking, MO, his son Kent Simpson of Houston, MO, two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a brother Wesley Simpson and wife Joyce of Alton, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.

On January 4, 1957 he was united in marriage to Betty Guffey. Bob served four years in the Air Force during the Korean War. He moved to Houston in 1967 and managed the Lucky Dollar Store. The last twenty years he and his son Kent owned and operated the Simpson Tire and Auto Station. Bob served on the City Council, Board of Adjustments, Lions Club and other organizations. He was a member of the Houston United Methodist Church. He was also a Mason for many years.

Bob will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A memorial service will be help 11am, December 10, 2011, at the Shiloh Cemetery in Alton, MO, with Wayne Guffey officiating.
