Sandra Jo “Sandy” Shultz, age 45 of Thayer, MO, went to be with her Lord Jesus on Saturday, August 20, 2011. She died peacefully in her home surrounded by family and friends loving her. Sandy was born January 2, 1966, in Alton, MO, the cherished daughter of Joe and Gerry Taylor.

She is survived by: her husband of 22 years, Dirk Shultz; their 2 sons Jordon Leo Shultz and Jesse Jaylon Shultz; her parents, Joe and Gerry Taylor; her sister, Rhonda Hovey; 13 nieces and nephews; and a community of loving and caring friends and family.

Sandy graduated from Thayer High School in 1984. She was then united in marriage to Dirk on July 1, 1989. Her goal in life was to be a good wife and mother, and her marriage and children proved her successful. Sandy and her family are members of the First Baptist Church of Mammoth Spring. Always willing to serve God, she was involved in many children’s ministries, which among her favorites were clowning and puppeteering.

We will miss her ever present smile, her sweet personality, and her willingness to help others.

Funeral services will be 10am Saturday, August 27, 2011, at the new First Baptist Church in Mammoth Spring, AR, with Bro. Charles Morgan and Bro. Bruce Stone officiating. Burial will follow in the Thayer Cemetery. Visitation will be 6pm-8pm Friday, August 26, 2011, at the Mammoth Spring Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Thayer, MO.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the American Cancer Society, the Gideons, or the Mammoth Spring First Baptist Church building fund.
