Mrs. Zara Jones went to be with her loved ones that have gone on before. She was born Sept. 24, 1913 at French Town, AR to D.W. and Alis Sutherland and passed away July 25, 2011 at National Healthcare, West Plains, MO. She had six brothers and four sisters. All have passed on except two girls, Patsy Tucker of Jonesboro AR, and Carmel Perkins of Flint, MI. She was married to Vick Jones at Saddle AR, June 1936. They had eleven children; four children and two grandchildren have preceded her in death. Surviving children are Douglas Jones (Kat), of Saddle AR, Nadene Hickonbottom (Hosea) of Las Vegas NV, Dixie Jones (Judy) of West Plains MO, Doris Brown (Kenny) of Thayer MO, Michael Jones (Candy) of OK, Ronald Jones (Linda) of CA, Earnest Jones of Saddle AR, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She lived a long life, was the best grandmother ever, worked hard and believed in her God. Services will be 10:00am Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at the Clary Funeral Home, Thayer, MO, with burial in the Saddle Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, 6:00-8:00pm at the funeral home. |
