Lorene Frances (Simpson) Parton, 87 of Alton, MO, was born March 7, 1924 in Greer, MO and passed away May 7, 2011 at the Ozarks Medical Center. She spent much of her life in the Alton, area. She lived and worked as a cook in Liberty, MO and Kearny, MO until she retired and moved back to Alton, where her favorite thing was to cook big dinners for her children, grandchildren and other family and friends. Her father was Lem Simpson and her mother was Meekie Hopper Simspon, out of this union 12 children were born. All are deceased except for sisters Dorothy Boze and Louise Miller. Lorene leaves behind three children, Keith Dodson of Alton, MO, Tom Dodson of Plattsburg, MO Pam Anzloney of Utah, nine grandchildren seven great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Services will be 1:00pm Friday, May 13, 2011 at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO with bro. Bob Wiggs officiating, burial in the Bailey Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, 7:00-8:00pm at the funeral home. |
