Winnie Mitchell, 83, of Alton, MO, passed away Tuesday, March 01, 2011, at her home near Alton. Born in Oregon county, MO to Charles and Alice (Davis) Casey on February 4, 1928. On November 3, 1943, she married John Mitchell of Alton, MO. She was a long time member of the Many Springs Baptist Church. She lived her entire life in Alton, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Mitchell; one sister, Mary Ruth Mayfield and two brothers, Johnnie Casey and Bob Casey. Winnie is survived by one daughter, Pat Ellison and husband, Larry, of Springfield, MO; two Grandsons, Kevin Ellison of Nixa, MO; Patrick Ellison of Paducah, KY; one Great Grandson and three Great Granddaughters; four nieces, two nephews, several Great nieces and Great nephews; and host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 5 at 1 PM at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO with Bro. Bob Wiggs and Bro. Edward Casey officiating. Burial will be at the Many Springs Cemetery, with pallbearer Brandon Ellison, Kevin Ellison, Patrick Ellison, James Anderson, Brant Casey and Mike Grey. Visitation will be on Friday, March 4 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home Memorial contributions may be made to the Many Springs Cemetery. |
