Melinda Lee (Bates) Harvey was born September 26, 1972, in Jefferson City, MO, and passed away January 5, 2011, at the age of 38.

Survivors include: her parents, Floyd & Judy Bates, and their children, Bobby, Kevin, Phillip, Matt, Kim, Rhonda, and Tonya; her adopted father, Boyd Bates, and his children, Carson, Patsy, and Jimmy; 1 daughter, Veronica; 2 sons, Cody and Dylan; her significant other, Cody Gunter; numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by: her adopted mother, Minnie Bates; 1 brother, Joe Dan Bates.

A memorial service will be held 2pm Saturday, January 8, 2011, at the Oak Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Edward Casey officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Alton, MO.
