Billy Wayne Roy was born June 10, 1945, to Floyd G. and Jessie Edith (Jobe) Roy at Alton, MO, and departed this life April 3, 2010, at the age of 64 years.

On May 20, 1977, in Miami, OK, he was united in marriage to Susan F. (Tallant) Menichetti, and to this union was born 1 son, Justin Wayne Roy.

Survivors include: 1 son, Justin Wayne Roy of Alton, MO; 1 grandson, Jaydon Roy, of Alton, MO; 1 step-daughter, Debbie Rodenbaugh; 1 step-son, David Menichetti; 6 step grandchildren; 6 step great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Brenda (Roy) O’Neill and husband Joe, of Alton, MO, and Edith (Roy) Torrey and husband Ed of Alton, MO; 2 nephews, Barry Gosnell and wife Amy of Independence, MO, and Bradley McGatha and wife Stephanie of Strafford, MO; 1 niece, Jennifer (O’Neill) Barr and husband Brad of Koshkonong, MO; and many other special cousins, relatives, and friends.

Bill was an avid hunter and had a love for his Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He worked for Armco Steel Company in Kansas City, MO, for 31 years, before his retirement and moving back to his home town of Alton.

Services will be 2pm Thursday, April 8, 2010, at the Clary Funeral Home in Alton, MO, with Bro. Bob Wiggs officiating, and burial following in the Many Springs Cemetery. Family Night will be 6pm-8pm Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at the Clary Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Alton, MO.
