George Richard Simons, age 71 of Alton, MO, was born February 22, 1939, and passed away March 19, 2010, at his home.

Survivors include: his wife, Lillian Mae Simons, of the home; 4 children, George Simons, Jr. of West Plains, MO, Kelly Simons of Las Vegas, NV, Matthew Simons of West Plains, MO, and Lisa Byk of Sitka, AR; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous other friends and relatives.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, William Francis and Dorothy (Sherwood) Simons.

Mr. Simons' wishes were to be cremated, and a memorial is planned for a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Alton, MO.
