Virginia Bates Woods, age 90 of Thayer, MO, was born March 15, 1919 in Couch, MO, and passed away February 28, 2010, at her home. Survivors include: 6 grandsons, Brian Bryant, Mark Bryant, Samuel Bryant, Dion Woods, Kurt Woods, and Joseph Woods; 2 sisters, Edith Robinson and Verbal Marquette; 1 brother, Dallas Bates; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Ed and Emma (Bennett) Bates; her husband, Sam Woods; 1 daughter, Margaret Smith; and 1 son, Joe Woods. Services will be 10am Thursday, March 4, 2010, at the Clary Funeral Home in Alton, MO, with burial in the Cave Springs Cemetery. Family Night will be 6pm-8pm Wednesday, March 3, 2010. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Alton, MO. |
