Alice Rosetta Mae Schmidt, age 98 of Thayer, MO was born December 19, 1910 in Winfield, Iowa and passed away October 29, 2009 at Shady Oaks Healthcare, Thayer, MO. Survivors include; two nephews, Elwyn Lee Van Meter and wife of Elsa of Hardy, AR, Marvin Keller of Edgington, IL, two nieces, Barbara Lamson of Corpus Christi, TX, and Peggy Bean of Rock Island, IL, numerous great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, Winfield Scott Keller and Elizabeth Mae Kiesey Frye, her husband, Melvin Harry Schmidt, one sister, Esther Caroline Baker and one brother, Ted Keller. Alice was untied in marriage to Melvin on August 5, 1937. She was a dedicated nurse/RN for 50 years, with training in Moline, IL Lutheran Hospital, then worked for many years at Ingles Memorial Hospital, Harvey, IL. She attended Chapel Hill Church for many years. Services will 2:00pm Sunday, November 1, 2009 at the Clary Funeral Home Chapel, Thayer, MO, Bro. James Johnson officiating, with visitation Sunday, 1:00pm until service time. Burial will be Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at the Cedar Park Cemetery, Harvey Illinois. |
