Lucile Fry Hensley, age 85 of DeSoto, MO, was born October 31, 1923 in Eminence, MO, and celebrated her homegoing on May 29, 2009 at Jefferson Memorial Regional Medical Center in Festus, MO.

Lucile was united in marriage to Willie Homer Hensley April 5, 1944 who preceded her in death November 17, 2000.

She is survived by three sisters: Reva Sconce of Poplar Bluff, MO, Milda “Biddy” Sconce and Tena Maude Guffey of Eminence, MO.

Also surviving Lucile are two sons: James Roger Hensley and wife Linda of Sweeny, TX, and Ronald Fry Hensley and wife Gloria of Hillsboro, MO. She loved and cherished five grandchildren: James Derek Hensley and wife Karen of Victoria, TX, Roger Eric Hensley of Spring, TX, Ronda Jean Harrison and husband James of Hillsboro, MO, Keri Sue Fovargue and husband Ron of Humble, TX, and Cindy Ann Schmitt and husband Chris of Hillsboro, MO. Lucile was baptized May 1945 in the Jack’s Fork River. Her school days were spent with her lifelong friend Jewell of Kansas City, MO, and she graduated from Eminence High School with her Class of 1944. She was employed shortly at Curtis Aircraft Defense Plant in St. Louis, but lived in Eminence during the time Willie was overseas. After the war, Willie and Lucile moved to a farm house in Oregon County. Lucile enjoyed 59 years on the “Hensley” farm, and she left many wonderful memories of those events with her beloved family and friends.

“When I die, I believe that I will go to heaven. I will be united with Willie. I will be happy with my family, his family, and good friends. No worries...just happiness. Isn’t that wonderful to look forward to?” (Lucile F. Hensley, 12-25-2001)
