Olive May Boren, 92 of Alton, MO, was born October 18, 1915, at Cardwell, AR and passed away July 26, 2008 at the Shady Oaks Healthcare Center, Thayer, MO. She was united in marriage to Joseph B. Ray and to this union two children were born, Geraldine and Murrell Gene, in Cardwell, MO. She was united in marriage to Eugene Boren in September of 1942 and to this union one child was born, Linda Lee, at Alton, MO. She is survived by two daughters, Geraldine (Jerry) Johnson and husband Alvin of Myrtle, MO, and Linda Combs and husband Truman of Thayer, MO; one son, Murrel G. Boren and wife Peggy of Thayer, MO; six grandsons, Glen Johnson and wife Karen of Myrtle, MO, Phil Johnson and wife Trisa Johnson of Myrtle, MO, David Johnson and wife Lisa of West Plains, MO, Scott Combs of Thayer, MO, Dalin Combs of Taegu, South Korea, and Darin Combs and wife Mila of Taegu, South Korea; a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, William Eli and Hattie Goodwin Muse Crask, her husband Eugene Boren, five brothers, one sister and three grandchildren. Services will be 10am Monday, July 28, 2008, at the Clary Funeral Home in Alton, MO, with Bro. Ricky Ragsdale officiating. Interment will be in the Hickory Grove Cemetery under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the OMC Shaw building cancer fund or St. Judes Children’s hospital. Alton |
