Carrie Alice Pepper, age 95 of Mammoth Spring, AR was born February 23, 1913 in Camp, AR and passed away June 21, 2008 at the Shady Oaks Healthcare Center, Thayer, MO.

Survivors include, three sons, Dale Pepper of Mammoth Spring, AR, David Pepper and wife Eudola of Dover, AR, Doyle Pepper and wife Carolyn of Topeka, KS, two daughters, Fran Clark of Rockford, IL, Margaret Ritchie and husband Bill of Kansas City, MO, eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Preceding her in death were her parents, Drew Reeves and Molly Tadlok Reeves, her husband, Phillip Pepper, one daughter, Mary Saunders, one granddaughter, Pamela Clark, five brothers and two sisters.

Carrie was an amazing woman who worked hard at the Gooseneck Café, cleaned houses and every kind of work she could to keep her family together after her husband Phillip passed away in 1964. She attended the Field Creek Church where she played the piano until the spring of 2008. Until her most recent illness, Carrie took care of her own financial affairs, and stayed abreast of world affairs by watching TV.

Services will be 2:00pm Tuesday, June 24, 2008 in the Clary Chapel with Bro. Don Tabor and Bro. David Roberts officiating. Interment will be in the Field Creek Cemetery under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home, Thayer, MO. Visitation will be Monday, 6:00-8:00pm.
