Kenneth Max Pingleton, age 70, of Koshkonong, MO, died Saturday, March 22, 2008, at his home after a 4-year battle with multiple myeloma.

Max was born March 14, 1938, in Alton, MO, to George and Thelma Pingleton. Max was married to Mary Christine Holman on November 26, 1958.

Survivors include: his wife, Mary Christine of the home; one daughter, Kristy Fluhr and husband Chris of Dardenne Prairie, MO; one son, Greg Pingleton and wife Becky of Villa Ridge, MO. Max was the proud grandfather of two grandsons, Michael Pingleton and Tristan Fluhr; and twin granddaughters, Megan and Marissa Fluhr. Other survivors include his siblings, Georgia Wynn and husband Larry, Don Pingleton and wife Minnie, and Freda Weber and husband George; his sisters-in-law, Alice Barton and husband Howard, and Mittie Pingleton; his brother-in-law, Jack Holman; and numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Carl Pingleton.

Max was a member of the United Baptist Church. He retired in 1991 from J.I. Case Company after more than 30 years of service. He continued working with farm machinery during summers with the Pro-Harvest Support Team. Max’s passions included his family, hunting, fishing, traveling and farm machinery.

Services will be 10am Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at the Clary Chapel in Alton, MO, with interment following in the Huddleston Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6pm-8pm Tuesday, March 25, 2008, in the Clary Chapel in Alton, MO.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Arrangements are being made under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Alton, MO.
