Sharon Lee Clary, 68, of Mtn. Grove, formerly of Sedalia, died Wednesday, February 28, 2008, at St. John’s Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. She was born May 1, 1939, in Mtn. Grove, MO, to Andy and Maxine Odle. On April 5, 1957, in Mtn. Grove, she was married to Gene Clary, who survives. She was a graduate of Mtn. Grove High School, and she recently celebrated her 50th class reunion. Sharon and Gene owned an operated Clary Funeral Home in Winona, MO, until 1972. They lived 11 years in Sedalia, where Sharon worked for the Sedalia School District as an administrative assistant to the superintendent of schools. After retiring, Sharon and Gene moved back to Mtn. Grove where they continued to operate their Angus farm. She was a member of Trinity Methodist Church in Mtn. Grove. Sharon was also a member of Eastern Star, Beta Sigma Phi, UMW, and the Rainbow Girls. Sharon dedicated her life to family and friends. She especially looked forward to entertaining throughout the holidays. Having her children and grandchildren come to a family gathering at the farm, was a great joy to her. Also surviving are her mother, Maxine Odle; her brother Terry Odle, of Springfield; daughter Christina Wilson-Smith and husband Charlie, of St. Peters; daughter Cynthia Banner and her husband John, of Sedalia; daughter Jeana Cunningham and her husband Jimmy, of Springfield; nine grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Her father, Andy Odle; and sister Ann Dee Hopper preceded her in death. Funeral services will be at 1pm Monday, March 3, 2008, at the Trinity United Methodist Church with Jack Montgomery officiating, with interment in the Hillcrest Cemetery, under the direction of Clary Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the Trinity Methodist Church Monday, from 10:30am to 1:00pm. Pallbearers will be son-in-laws and grandsons, John, Charlie, Jimmy, Andy, Nick, Patrick, and Brandon; honorary will be Jessica, Jessie, Danelle, James, and Corey. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Trinity Methodist Church of Mtn. Grove and the music department of Mtn. Grove High School. |
