Alice M. Griffith, age 94 of Alton, MO, was born April 21, 1913, in Thomasville, MO, and passed away December 6, 2007, at the West Vue Nursing Center in West Plains, MO. Survivors include: 1 daughter, Doris Johnson of Alton, MO; 2 sons, Robert Griffith & wife Nina of Lebanon, MO, and David Griffith & wife Betty of Lee’s Summit, MO; 6 grandchildren, Thomas W. Johnson & wife Diane, Joseph A. Johnson & wife Kristi, Robert M. Johnson & wife Elaine, Rebecca Brandt & husband John, Jeff Griffith & wife Teresa, and Pat Griffith & wife Cindy; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by: her parents, John Henry and Nora (Davis) Wilcox; her husband, Jeff Griffith; 9 siblings, Lelia Baker, Mary Cooper, Grace Rutledge, Ruth Cockrell, Eugene Wilcox, Bonnie Stotler-Reeves, Elvie Wilcox, Opal Reser, and Lee Wilcox; 1 son-in-law, Wendell Johnson. Funeral services will be 2pm Sunday, December 9, 2007, at the Alton First Baptist Church, with Dr. Todd Ewing officiating. Burial will follow in the Huddleston Cemetery.
