Donald Joseph Garske, Sr., age 72 of Lena, IL (formerly of West Plains, MO), was born July 4, 1935, in Farmington, WI, and passed away November 27, 2007, at the Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, MO. He is survived by: his wife, Pat, of Lena, IL; his 1st wife, Barbara Rickert of Alton, MO; 2 sons, Donald J. Garske, Jr. and wife Linda, and Michael T. Garske & wife Karan; 1 daughter, Carol Mullen and husband Zerel; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; & numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by: his parents, John Henry & Angeline Mary (Jourdeans) Garske. Donald was married to Barbara Williams December 4, 1954, and they have 3 children together. He then married Patricia Campbell September 3, 2003, and they resided in Lena, IL. Donald spent 21 years in service and the retired from the U.S. Air Force. After his service career, he worked for Marathon Electric in West Plains, MO. In 1987, he moved to Lena, IL, where he retired as a machinist from Kelly-Springfield in Freeport, IL. He enjoyed fishing, fixing anything that broke and designing new gadgets. He was an accomplished artist and a signer, a published songwriter and musician, and he loved Karaoke. A memorial service will be held at 11am Friday, November 30, 2007, at the Clary Chapel in Alton, MO, with Bro. Bill Bales officiating. Visitation will be 10am-11am, Friday, November 30, 2007, in the Clary Chapel. Arrangements are being made under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Alton, MO. Honorary Pallbearers: Michael P.
