Michael Allen Roberts was born January 3, 1957 in St. louis, MO and passed away April 20, 2026 at his home in Alton, MO at the age of 69.

Mike was a die-hard Dale Earnhardt fan and later a Dale Earnhardt, Jr. fan. He went to work right after high school for Stubblefield Implement where he met several people who would show up later in life in unexpected places. Shirley couldn’t take him anywhere without him meeting a former client, and they would visit and visit, even in St. Louis, MO. Later he went to work for Missouri Department of Transportation until his retirement in 2012. In his free time, he enjoyed watching NASCAR, collecting stamps and spending time with family. He especially enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren, Jacob and Brinleigh, who were his pride and joy.

On August 3, 1979 he married his high school sweetheart Shirley (Cheever) and to this union two children were born, Douglas Michael and Dustin Allen.
He his survived by his beloved wife Shirley of the home, his son Dustin (Rebekah), his grandchildren Jacob and Brinleigh, step grandchildren Kevin and Clinton, a brother Glenn Roberts and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son Douglas, his parents Lloyd (Tom) and Joyce (Plack) Roberts, his mother and father-in-law Ora and Joe Cheever, brothers-in-law Glenn and James Cheever.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 24, 2026 at 1:00pm with visitation noon-until service time at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO, with burial on the family farm. Fred Palmer officiating, pallbearers will be Nanthaniel Cheever, Chevron Cheever, Bob Wright, Junior Roberts, Nathan Roberts and Jonathan Kemper.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
