Tara Ann Harrell, aged 48 of Myrtle, MO, was born April 18, 1977, in Fremont, California. Tara passed away July 4, 2025, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer at Mosaic Medical Center in St. Joseph, MO. Tara was a loving mother to Jayden, 21, and dedicated daughter to Sandra, 78, of Myrtle, MO. She was a nurse, volunteer fire fighter, and first responder who had a passion for her community. She treated her patients, as well as family and friends, with a strong and exuberant sprit—she showed strength and compassion without any prejudice to those who crossed her path. In her life, Tara made meaningful and poignant friendships. These friendships blossomed into something richer---chosen family. Tara leaves behind many cherished friends in our community. Tara was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Harrell, who was her partner in every sense and the love of her life; Father-in-Law Robert E. Harrell; Maternal Grandparents, George (Bud) and Fredia (Skip) Kleve, Warren and Francis Shutts; Uncle, Steven Shutts; Ronald Clowers (Diddy). Funeral services will be Thursday July 10, 2025, 10a.m. at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO, with Dustin Kirkpatrick officiating.
