It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gregg German, a beloved father, son, brother, and grandfather, who left us far too soon. Gregg was a man of kindness, integrity, and boundless love, touching the lives of all who knew him with his warm spirit and generous heart.

Gregg was the cherished son of Bob and Linda German, and a loving brother to Dean Hammond (Jo Ann) (Lexington, KY); Richie German (Osage Beach, MO); and Jackie Rogacki (George) (Mt. Home, AR). His deep connection with his family was the foundation of his life, and he was always there to support and uplift them.

Gregg was a member at Macedonia Baptist Church for 36 years where he was saved and baptized.

As a father, Gregg’s love and pride knew no bounds. He was a devoted dad to Kaiya Lane (Alex); (Russellville, AR), Schellby Wilkerson (Logan), Tiffany Cockrum (Mason); (West Plains, MO), Alissa German (Tanner Trivett); (West Plains, MO), Madalyn Young (Jesse); (Thayer, MO), and Cole German. He guided his children with wisdom, patience, and unwavering support, always putting them first in his life.

Gregg found immense joy in his role as a grandfather, lovingly known as “Pockie.” He adored his beautiful granddaughter, Jessalyn Wilkerson and brand-new grandson, Hudson Young. His eyes would light up at the mere mention of his grandchildren, and they were the light of his life.

Gregg was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clyde and Lucille Miller; his paternal grandparents, Fred and Violet German; his infant son, Gregory Dean German; and his uncle, Ralph Anthony Miller. Though they have gone before him, Gregg’s reunion with his loved ones brings a measure of peace in this time of sorrow.

Gregg’s legacy lives on through the laughter he shared, the love he gave, and the countless memories he created with those fortunate enough to have known him. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever remain in our hearts, guiding us with the same kindness and strength that defined his life.

In this time of grief, we find comfort in the beautiful memories he left behind and in the knowledge that his love will continue to surround us. Rest in peace, Gregg. Your light will never fade.

Services will be 11:00 am Saturday, October 12, 2024 at the Macedonia Baptist Church with Bro. Joby Steele officiating with burial to follow in the Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8:00 pm Friday at the church. Services under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Gregg German Memorial Fund C/O Alton, Bank.
