Shirley Ann Johnson Hardwick, daughter of the late Carl O. Johnson and Agnes Marie Sandridge Johnson, was born September 15, 1940, in Oregon County, Missouri. She entered eternal rest on April 14, 2024, at the age of eighty- three years. She had been married for over twenty years to August Hardwick and before her retirement, she worked many years at Western Electric in Lee Summit, Missouri, and Toast Master in Macon, Missouri. Shirley loved her family and spending time outdoors gardening. She was a strong Christian all her life and was anxious to get to her heavenly home to be with loved ones who had gone on before her. She is survived by her son, Kendal Hardwick, Thayer, Missouri; one grandchild, Kelsey Marie Hardwick, Caulfield, Missouri; two brothers, Roy Dean Johnson, Birch Tree, Missouri, and Joe Johnson, Alton, Missouri; two sisters, Phyllis Cropper, Rover, Missouri and Norma Miller, Doniphan, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews. Shirley had a special caretaker, Shelly Matthewson, West Plains, Missouri who was a long-time friend of the family and assisted her with her needs in the latter years of her life. Her parents, one brother, Robert, and one sister, Sharon Kay, preceded her in death. |
