David Wesley Crowell, 69, of Alton, Missouri was born January 31, 1955, and passed peacefully on February 29, 2024, in his home. David was born to Clessie “JoAnn” Hollis in Thayer, Missouri on January 31, 1955. David would marry Julie Ann Frost on November 2, 1979. Their marriage brought about two children, Beth Ann and Michael James. In addition to being present for his children and grandchildren throughout his life, David enjoyed hunting, fishing, Cardinals baseball, and an occasional good trip to the casino. David is survived by his children Beth (Brandon) Padgett of Bay, Arkansas, and Michael (Khristy) Crowell of Alton, Missouri, grandchildren Logan, Savannah, Alexis, Blake, Chase, and one great-grandchild Wyatt, mother-in-law Phyllis Bell, sisters in law Annette (Kenny) and Lisa, among numerous other relatives and friends. David was preceded in death by grandparents Newt and Joyce, parents JoAnn and Floyd, loving wife Julie, and father-in-law Howard Frost Services will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, March 3, 2024, at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO with brother Bob Wiggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Hollis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
