Visitation for Ruby (Earls) Norton will be 10:00-11:00am Monday, July 25, 2022, with service to follow at 11:00am at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO. Burial will be in the Earls Family Plot, Bailey Cemetery, Alton, MO. Ruby passed away July 21, 2022, at Mountain View Healthcare, Mountain View, MO. She was born November 17, 1927, at Greer, Oregon County, MO to Rufus and Ollie Earls. On November 23, 1946, she married Charles King at Astoria, OR. Charles was a career Navy Man. They lived in San Francisco, CA, San Diego, CA, and Seattle, WA. After his death she married Don Norton Sr. on October 13, 1995, in Winona, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Ollie Earls, first husband Charles King, second husband Don O. Norton Sr., 5 brothers, Lee, Herbert, Leonard, Cleo, and Glen, two sisters, Bertha Williams and Ola Barger, and 3 sisters-in-law Jean Earls, Katy Howard, and Penny Thompson. Survivors include one sister, Violet Ebersole, 2 sisters-in-law, Marj Earls and Tillie Norton-Studler, several nieces and nephews, and 1 stepson, Don Norton Jr. and family. Ruby attended school in Birch Tree, MO, and graduated Nurses training in 1954. She retired from that profession in 1980. For many years she enjoyed researching her family history as well as helping other with their family history. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 1419 S. Sam Houston Blvd, Houston, MO 65483.
