John Eric Gates, age 59 of Thayer, MO, was born June 13, 1963, in Muncie, IN, and passed away June 20, 2022, at his home. Survivors include: his wife, Roxan (Agee) Gates, of the home; 1 daughter, Lillie Gates, of Thayer, MO; 3 sisters, Janet James & husband Thomas of Eminence, MO, Joyce Gates of Dongola, IL, Jean Counts & husband Roger of Eminence, MO; 1 brother-in-law, Jayson Vance, Sr., of Eminence, MO; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by: his parents, John Wesley and Lille Mae (Faulkner) Gates; his father-in-law, John Agee. Graveside services will be 10am Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at the Berea Mennonite Cemetery in Birch Tree, MO, with Bro. Otto Foust officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Thayer, MO. In lieu of flowers, donations can be left at the funeral home.
