In her younger years she enjoyed floating on the Eleven Point River with her sisters and kids, even though she never learned how to swim. Orlanda was a bus driver for the Current River School for the disabled in Doniphan, MO. In May of 1989, she started working for Missouri Home Care and continued to work there until she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was a proud survivor of breast cancer but was later diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.

Orlanda was a great person and a hard worker all her life. She loved playing with and visiting all her grandkids. Hoyt, a great grandson, loved picking on her the most just to get her to chase him. She also loved rocking babies, especially great-grandson, baby Bjorn. Orlanda was a very selfless person. She was always concerned about the needs of others more than herself. She was a wonderful, loving mother and was very much loved. Orlanda will be truly missed by her family and friends.
