Lifelong Alton resident Venita Schell Mills, 49, was born on April 15, 1971 and passed away April 7, 2021 in her home. Venita is survived by husband David Mills, children Victoria, Misty Joe, and Jordan Johnson, sister April Deckard, and many other relatives. Preceding her in death were parents Melvin and Darlene Blankenship and husband Eddie Johnson Jr. Venita spent her childhood on the Eleven Point River and attended Alton High School. After graduating high school, she married her first husband, Eddie Johnson Jr. and had three kids, Victoria, Misty, and Jordan. Following her first husband’s death, she married David Mills of Thayer, MO. Venita knew no stranger and everyone that met her, loved her. She enjoyed camping, being on the river, cooking, and spending time with family. She will be missed and loved forever. Graveside services will be Noon Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Bailey Cemetery, Alton, MO. Arrangements under the direction of Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO.
