Lucrecia Erma DuBois was born the daughter of Jewell Crase and Alta (Combs) Crase on April 28, 1931, in Myrtle, MO, and departed this life on February 11, 2021, at Fulton County Hospital in Salem, AR, at the age of 89 years. She was united in marriage November 5, 1948, in Pocohontas, AR, to Leon Glen DuBois who preceded her in death on April 1, 2008. She is survived by: her daughter, Rose Turnbough; her son, Michael (Linda); six grandchildren, David (Becky) Turnbough, Lisa Pentecost, Geoffrey (Tami) DuBois, Leah (H.C.) Rolen, Jamie (Amy) Turnbough, Jana (Richard) Haven; seventeen great-grandchildren, Nick (Amy), Matt (Hannah), Avery (Alec), Hayden, Justice (Joni), Jett, Jurnee, Jayce, Hayden, Jathan, Jaylie, Rayah, Adeline, Jasper, Zeb, Jessa, Kyndall; and seven great-great grandchildren, Ella, Ainsley, Adlee, August, Addison, Brody, and Rhett; one sister-in-law, Nadine Crase; and many nieces and nephews. Lucrecia was employed by Puritan Sewing Factory of Thayer, MO, ASCS offices in both Alton and Hillsboro, MO, and the Mark Twain National Forest Service in Potosi, MO. She retired in 1989 after 30 years of service. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Leon DuBois; her parents, Jewell and Alta Crase; sister, Charleen Janes; brother, Neal Crase; and one infant great-grandson, Grady DuBois. Lucrecia was a member of the Dellhalf Church of Christ and was a great cook and loved cooking for her family and her Church family. She was well known for her strawberry pies and blueberry cheesecakes. She loved spending time with her family and was blessed with good friends. She loved her Dellhalf Church of Christ family and many other brothers and is sisters in Christ around the area. Lucrecia will be buried at the Taylor Cemetery by the family at a later date. |
