Viola Mae (Clapp) Atchison, age 84 of Couch, MO, was born September 28, 1934, in Oregon County, MO, and passed away September 12, 2019, at the Shady Oaks Healthcare in Thayer, MO. Survivors include: 1 daughter, Nancy Mae Hopper of Thayer, MO; 1 son, David Charles Atchison of Alton, MO; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Linda Sue Grooms of Alton, MO; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Floyd David Atchison; her parents, John Irvin Clapp and Maudie Rachel (Johnson) Clapp; a daughter, Sharon Atchison; a son, David Lee Atchison; 2 sisters, Lida Deitz and Betty Olsheske; 3 brothers, Leamon Clapp, Raymon Clapp, and Tillman Clapp. A graveside memorial service will be held 1pm Saturday, September 21, 2019, at the Cave Springs Cemetery in Alton, MO, with Bro. Wayne Adrian officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Thayer, MO.
