William Berton Forester, 84, of Alton Missouri passed away Friday, March 22 @ Oak Hill in Waterloo, Illinois surrounded by family and friends. William (Bill) Forester was born on February 14, 1935, the son of the late Lottie and Earnest Forester. William served in the United States Army and was employed with Coca-Cola, for 35 years. His hobbies included golf, fishing, elk hunting, farming, raising / hauling cattle, playing cards with friends, shooting pool, antique auctions, antique cars and spending time with family. William is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Nellie Pitts, along with four daughters; Patti Forester Gwaltney, Janette DeGrazia, Deborah (Michael) Dziatlik, Judy (Ron) Hejnal; one sister, Earnestine “Tootsie” (James) Roy; five grandchildren; Dusty Niles, Michael Gwaltney (Chelsea), Zech DeGrazia, Micah DeGrazia (Tracy), Seth DeGrazia, Hannah Hejnal; six great grand children: Brianna Niles (Dustin Helms), Ashley James (Joe), Ben Luker, Ben Gwaltney, Reid Gwaltney, A.M. DeGrazia, five great-great grandchildren; Tristin David, Hudson Paul, Riley James, Leah James and Levi James, numerous other relatives and friends. William was preceded in death by brothers Emil Forester and Wayne Forester, sisters Maxine Tinsley, Christine Lewis, Genevieve Dodson, grandson Shawn Gwaltney. Services will be 11:00 am, Wednesday March 27th, 2019 at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton Missouri. Visitation will be 10:00 am until service time. The burial will immediately follow, at Lance Cemetery. |
