Larry Wayne Tucker was born October 7, 1946 and departed this life on June 12, 2018 at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, MO. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Laverne Ingle Tucker, his parents Everett Harold and Pauline Tucker, and two brothers, Everett Lynn and Clifton Wade Tucker. Larry is survived by his son, Damon Tucker, Mammoth Spring, AR. His sweetheart Vercie Hirsch of the home in Mammoth Spring, AR. Her children, Eva Komm of St. Louis, MO, Bryan and Natasha Deaton of Thayer, MO. Her grandchildren, Kelsie Stewart and Nate Yancey of Springfield, MO, Tymber Holman and D’Nacia Holman of Thayer, MO, Cody and Malorie Baker of Koshkonong, MO. Her great grandchildren, Shyla Baker and Rawlin Baker of Koshkonong, MO. He is survived by one brother, Tommy LaVaughn Tucker and Stella Tucker, Bryant, AR and one sister, Mary Kathryn Wallace of Brinkley, AR. Larry enjoyed many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Family was of the utmost importance to him. Larry served in the Vietnam War and retired from the Arkansas National Guard. He loved God, his family and his country. Larry was a strong, honest and reliable man. He was loving and nurturing to his family. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, playing music on his guitar and singing. He dedicated many volunteer hours of entertainment to help raise money for persons in need or for the enjoyment of those in the nursing homes, etc. Larry was a one in a million, they broke the mold when he was made. He will be missed, but his memory will be kept alive through the many ways he touched so many lives on his journey through life. Visitation will be 6pm-8pm Thursday, June 14, 2018, at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO. Funeral services will be 2pm Sunday, June 17, 2018, at the Rhodes & Son Funeral Home in Augusta, AR, with burial following in the White Hall Cemetery in Hillman, AR. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Thayer, MO.
