Jane Kathryn Biles Reese, age 66, of Alton, Missouri, daughter of the late Owen and Virginia Biles, was born November 10, 1951, in Little Rock, Arkansas, and passed away surrounded by family on April 15, 2018, at the Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains. She was married on January 10, 1971, to Denny Reese, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and to this union two sons were born, Jimmy and Blake. Jane grew up in Salem, Arkansas, spending her time raising cucumbers. She graduated from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas, (Go HOGS!) with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. She taught at Alton Elementary for 37½ years. Jane loved every one of her students and had a passion for teaching. She was a member of the Alton Freewill Baptist Church where she served as the Treasurer for many years. Jane was a sports enthusiast and loved to support the Alton Comets. She is survived by her husband, Denny; two sons, Jimmy (Carol) of Alton, Missouri, and Blake (Holly) of Alton, Missouri; four grandchildren, Chantz Reese of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Ryon Reese (Sidnee) of Eglin AFB, Florida, Jace and Jaylee Reese of Alton, Missouri; two sisters, Janet Shaver of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Joan Carlson (Greg) of St. Louis, Missouri; three nieces, seven nephews, and many other relatives and friends. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, sister, mom, and grandma. You never saw Jane without a smile on her face or something positive to say. She loved being outdoors and spending time with her family. Funeral services will be 10am Thursday, April 19, 2018, at the Clary Funeral Home in Alton, MO, with burial following in the Huddleston Cemetery. Visitation will be 6pm-8pm Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Alton, MO.
