Ann Sisco, 78, died April 12, 2018, in her home surrounded by family. She was born January 14, 1940, the daughter of Julia Wood and Ray Purcell, Jr. She married Clifford Sisco, Sr. on February 10, 1958, and together they had four children. Ann was a faithful member of United Baptist Church. She loved gospel music, prayed fervently and laughed easy. Together with her husband, Ann ran Sisco Grocery for more than three decades. The store was equally well known for its great sandwiches and the warmth with which Ann and Clifford treated everyone who entered. She is survived by her husband, Clifford; her children and their spouses, Clifford, Jr. and Rose Sisco, Chrisie and Dean Barton, Patty and Mike Nichols, Reggie and Kelly Sisco; her siblings, Kay Bowles, Debbie Williams, and Charles Wood; friend Kathy Binkley; nine grandchildren, Clifford III and Jana Sisco, Aaron and Tara Sisco, Brittany and Aaron Haney, Dustin and Katie Barton, Tyler Barton, Abby and Zach Wilson, Hayden Nichols, Madison Sisco, and Kennedy Sisco; eight great-grandchildren, Clifford Sisco IV, Drew Sisco, Molly Sisco, Paul Sisco, Baylee Sisco, Chanler Sisco, Miley Haney, and Mason Haney; and a large community of friends. Ann was preceded in death by her parents; and her mother- and father-in-law, Boone and Artie Sisco. Funeral services will be 2pm Sunday, April 15, 2018, at the Clary Funeral Home in Alton, MO, with Bro. Edward Casey officiating, and burial following in the Bailey Cemetery. Visitation will be 6pm-8pm Saturday, April 14, 2018. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Alton, MO.
