Vernon Edgar Marquette, age 87 of Alton, MO was born March 29, 1930 in Stoughton, WI and passed away January 14, 2018 at Shady Oaks Healthcare, Thayer, MO. Survivors include; three sons, George, David and Dale Marquette, numerous grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Preceding his in death were his parents, Edward William Marquette and Selma Gilickson Marquette, and his wife, Peggy Bear Marquette. A memorial mass will be at 11:30 am Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Thayer, MO. Burial of the ashes with military honors will be at a later date on the family farm.
