Hope Jayne (Miller) Reef, born the daughter of Bascom A. Miller, Sr. and Hazel (Lofton) Miller on October 20, 1940, in Blackton, AR, departed this life December 1, 2017, in Springfield, MO, at the age of 77 years. She was a stand out basketball player for TA Futrell High School in Marianna, AR, graduating with the class of 1959. She received her nursing degree from University of Memphis, Memphis TN. She was united in marriage October 11, 1966, at Adrian, MI, to Harold Reef. She started her career as an LPN working for Chastain’s of Thayer, and later finishing up her career with Shady Oaks of Thayer. She was an avid Arkansas Razorbacks fan, never one to back down from calling her beloved hogs anytime, anywhere. She is survived by: one daughter Tanzi H Lusk (Terry), Springfield, MO; one stepdaughter, Viki Reef Spector (Paul), Fair Oaks, CA; one stepson, Scot Reef, Thayer, MO; two beloved sisters, Barbara Lydick & Shirley Mercado, Albuquerque, NM; one very special niece, Theresa Eichwald (Rodrigo), Albuquerque, NM; four grandchildren Eli Spector (Ariel), San Francisco, CA, Jesse Spector, Washington, DC, Seth Spector, Los Angeles, CA, and Trinity Hope Lusk, Springfield, MO; one great grandson, Jack Spector, San Francisco, CA; one great niece, Gabriela Eichwald, Albuquerque, NM; several Aunts and Uncles and many friends. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Bascom and Hazel Miller; her husband, Harold Reef; one brother, Bascom A. Miller Jr.; stepmother, Ann G. Miller; paternal grandparents, Lonnie A. and Iva Miller; maternal grandparents, Jim and Cathy Lofton. She will be missed by her family and friends.
