Junior Lee Brown was born March 26, 1951, 4th child of Jack and Inez Allmon Brown. He was united in marriage to Sheila Bell March 28, 1974. To this union two daughters were born, Alicia and Casondra Brown. They both were loved beyond words and they cherished their daddy dearly. Survivors include; his wife of 43 years Sheila, daughters, Alicia Roberts and husband Kalan, Casondra Pointer and husband Tom, all of Alton, MO, six grandchildren, Alyssa Greene and husband Blake of Mammoth Spring, AR, MaKaylah and Sawyer Roberts, Callie, Adeline and Asa Pointer, all of Alton, MO, three brothers, Charles Brown of Kansas City, MO, James Brown and Wife Kathleen, David Brown, all of Alton, MO, four sisters, Margaret Blanton and husband Ray of Augusta, KS, Jackie Bull and husband Ed of Gatewood, MO, Tricia Carter and husband Don of Crossville, TN, Brenda Brooks of Mtn. View, MO, two brother-in-laws, Leroy O’Neal, Roger Bell and wife Eva Ladean, all of Alton, MO, numerous nieces, nephews, his church family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his father and mother-in-law, Lilburn and Callie Pingleton Bell, one sister, Janet Brown Fletcher, two sister-in-laws, Kathryn Bell O’Neal and Mary Brown, three brother-in-laws, Max and Ricky Bell, Melvin Brooks. Junior was a military police officer, stationed in Fort Leonard Wood, MO. He raised hogs for many years. He was a skilled carpenter and roofer, who took pride in his work. In recent years he drove a school bus for the Alton R-4 School district. He loved his family deeply. He loved to tell stories of his hunting and four wheeler adventures, and laugh at the foolishness and fun. He loved the Lord and served him to the best of his abilities God gave him. He was a very humble man and did not like to be in the limelight. His favorite saying was “We are all put on this earth for one purpose, and one purpose only, and that is to serve God and to do His willâ€. Junior was not just a good man, he was a Godly man. He served as a Deacon at Bailey Freewill Baptist Church one day short of 25 years, He was ordained November 15, 1992, Services will be 11:00 am Friday, November 17, 2017 at the Bailey Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Darrell Strain officiating, with burial in the New Bailey Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, 6:00-8:00 pm at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO.
