Billy Joe Combs, age 75 of Thayer, MO, was born September 13, 1941, in Alton, MO, and passed away January 17, 2017, in Granite City, IL. Survivors include: 3 sisters, Reta Vest & husband Chester, Nola Archambault & husband Mark, and Anita Gaines and friend Leon Tipton; 1 niece, Rhonda Nolan & husband Benny; 2 nephews, Corey Gaines and wife Jessica, and Jared Gaines; 1 great-niece, Alexis Nolan; 2 great-nephews, Terrell Gaines and Liam Gaines. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Noel & Rachel (Hensley) Combs; 1 sister, Bertha Combs; and a special friend, Bob Mills. Graveside services will be 2pm Saturday, January 21, 2017, at the Cotton Creek Cemetery in Couch, MO, with Bro. Russell Hensley officiating. Visitation will be 6pm-8pm Friday, January 20, 2017. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Thayer, MO.
