John Lewis Casey, age 90 Alton, MO was born December 11, 1925 near Riverton, MO and passed away January 11, 2016 at Shepherds View Nursing Center, Alton, MO. Survivors include; four children, Tammy Holmes, Brant and Angie Casey, Monty and Christy Casey, Edward and Theresa Casey, nine grandchildren, Shane, Brandon, Travis, Jon, Crystal, Travis, J.C., Chad and Merinda, nine great-grandchildren, Amber, Gracie, Braden, Gavin, Madison, Tommy, Owen, Brooke and Rider and numerous other relatives and friends. John Lewis was a veteran of World War II, serving overseas with the US Army. Following the war, he was united in marriage to Emma Lou Whiiten on April 17, 1948. He was a farmer, truck driver and long time pastor of United Baptist Church of Alton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clark Edward Casey and Azalea Baker-Casey, his wife Emma Lou Whitten-Casey, one great-granddaughter, Londyn Reese Casey, one son-in-law, Dwight Holmes, one brother and five sisters. Services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO with Bro. Edward Casey officiating, interment in the Riverton Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, from noon until service time. |
